2024 Soft Matter and Polymers Symposium
Notre Dame-Purdue Soft Matter & Polymers Symposium and Poster Session
Date & Time: Saturday, October 5, 2024 • 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Location: Jordan Hall of Science - Galleria (south end) and Room 105
Since its inception in 2014, this joint meeting has fostered collaboration, scientific networking, and camaraderie between the faculty and students of the University of Notre Dame and Purdue University. In addition, the annual event offers a valuable and accessible training opportunity for students and postdocs to share their science with the regional Soft Matter & Polymers community.
The 2024 symposium will be hosted at Notre Dame on Saturday, October 5, in the Jordan Hall of Science.
Technical Sessions
This year's symposium includes presentations by Notre Dame and Purdue faculty, postdocs, and graduate students on topics related to their research projects in soft matter and polymers, as well as current challenges and future opportunities. Students and postdocs will also discuss their research during the afternoon poster session and networking reception.
Bozhi Tian, Professor of Chemistry at the University of Chicago, will serve as the Keynote Speaker. The Tian Group explores new opportunities in semiconductors through fundamental studies of their interactions with soft matter.
