Thomas O’Sullivan, associate professor of electrical engineering at the University of Notre Dame, has been awarded the 2022 IEEE-HKN C. Holmes MacDonald Outstanding Teaching Award “for contributions to creative and inclusive teaching and mentoring in electrical engineering and bioengineering.”
During fiscal year 2022, researchers at the University of Notre Dame received $244 million in research award funding, surpassing the previous record of $222.7 million set in fiscal year 2021.
This year, six researchers at the University of Notre Dame have received the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious award for early career researchers. Since 2014, Notre Dame faculty have earned 61 of these nationally competitive awards.
