Research Uncorked – “Research at the Nano Scale: A Guided Tour”

Research Uncorked is a monthly speaker series featuring informal interviews with leading scholars and scientists from the University. Typically hosted at Ironhand Winebar in South Bend, the series has temporarily moved online because of the coronavirus.

In October, we’re excited to be joined by four faculty members from the Notre Dame Nanoscience and Technology program, or NDnano, for a Research Uncorked first: a peek inside campus lab spaces.

“Research at the Nano Scale: A Guided Tour” will feature live looks at:

  • the Notre Dame cleanroom with NDnano Director Alan Seabaugh and cleanroom director Patrick Fay,
  • the Water purification and Advanced Transport Engineering Research (W.A.T.E.R.) laboratory with Associate Professor William Phillip
  • and the lab of Assistant Professor Jennifer Schaefer, which focuses on applications in advanced electrochemical energy storage devices.

Please email Ted Fox (tfox2@nd.edu) by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, to RSVP and receive instructions on how to join the Zoom call.
