2016 Project Summaries

2016 NURF Poster Session

Recipients of the 2016 NDnano Undergraduate Research Fellowships have each prepared a recap of their summer research experience (see below).  The undergraduate researchers represented several universities throughout the U.S., India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and Spain. The students applied and were selected by a member of the NDnano faculty to spend up to 10 weeks of their summer immersed in research on the campus of Notre Dame. Throughout the summer, the students had the opportunity to present their research in group meetings, an undergraduate research symposium, and a three-center poster session. Fellowship funding was provided by NDnano, the Naughton REU Program, and McMaster University Summer Exchange Program.

In addition, NDnano and Notre Dame International partnered for the first time in 2016 to pair student researchers from the International Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (iSURE) program with NDnano faculty.

The appliction process for the 2017 NDnano summer undergraduate fellowships will open in January.
